Homework

Homework is an integral part of your student's academic training. We believe that homework should be a reinforcement of materials covered or discussed in class. Parents should help their child find a quiet place in which to study. We ask that parents further help their child by making sure their homework is complete and neat.

St. John does not have a policy on the amount of homework a child receives each night; however, the following may be used as guidelines:

• Grades 1 - 3: 30 - 45 minutes

• Grades 4 - 5: 45 minutes - 1 hour

• Grades 6 - 8: 1 - 2 hours
